[The video feed starts with Darcy looking intently at the screen and reaching over to poke at the various functions on her newly acquired tablet. So far, she's met two people. One she hadn't seen in a while but the other was brand new. Her room is still dark and Darcy looks a little uncomfortable sitting in it.]

Okay, so someone told me about invisible maids, there's my suitcase with my stuff thrown in here, a shiny new tablet thing, and --

[She wields the ukelele in front of the camera]

Which pretty much leads me to the question:

With a nickname like that, why would you need an actual name?

( he's not entirely impressed but Leathery McLeatherpants is moderately better than Captain Hook??? don't be so judgey, Jones. )

Why do you look like PETA's worst nightmare? Where'd the epic guyliner come from? And I'm pretty sure you're not part of the staff here.

I don't know why you'd assume I'm staff. In fact, nobody has seen hair nor hide of staff since we bloody got here.

As for how I dress, I dress this way because I like it. Presumably you do about the same.

[She gives a half grin]

I don't believe anyone can be swashbuckly, because it isn't a word.

[She looks nonplussed; not budging on this one]

[She's defiant in her answer and her chin is slightly raised up]

I'm more than a pirate, but I suppose you're right that I am one.

[She laughs a little]

Um, kinda defined by what I do, actually. I'm an intern.

[And with that comes a LOT of characteristics]

Worse, I'm an unpaid one. But I love the work I do.

[Well, the work Jane does]

An unpaid intern. I'm not certain what that is, though loving your work is important.

Pretty much, I wrangle my boss to make sure she does things like eat. Sleep.

And you really love it?

So it's more than just getting your employer to eat and rest, then.
