[The video feed starts with Darcy looking intently at the screen and reaching over to poke at the various functions on her newly acquired tablet. So far, she's met two people. One she hadn't seen in a while but the other was brand new. Her room is still dark and Darcy looks a little uncomfortable sitting in it.]

Okay, so someone told me about invisible maids, there's my suitcase with my stuff thrown in here, a shiny new tablet thing, and --

[She wields the ukelele in front of the camera]

I don't know but I'm going to try to find out.

[If they could find a way to contact Magnus, maybe he'd be able to figure out what kind of magic did this and reverse it.]

Even if there isn't, people will start wondering where we are. Whoever did this didn't choose people who will be unnoticed if they go missing.

Right. They wouldn't.

[Jane would be noticed if she went missing. Darcy? Sometimes, she's not that sure she would be noticed. Jane would probably notice and kick up a storm]

[Alec knows it isn't going to be that easy but he refuses to give up hope. He's been in worst situations, but usually he's not the one kidnapped.]

We'll get out. It might take awhile, but we will.

[She grins, despite herself]

You seem so sure about that.

[overprotective_hunter]

My brother's here and he has a way of thinking of ways getting out of impossible situations.

[Despite the situation and his frustration, Alec returns the smile.]

And there's someone back home that isn't going to stand by and let this happen.

Yeah, Jane is probably building something right now to get me out of here.

[She's uneasy because they got Coulson here.]

Even if Jace wasn't here... Magnus is going to be offended that someone got through his -

[He almost says wards, then realizes that Darcy probably doesn't know about magic.]

- his security and kidnapped me. It'll give him another reason to find a way to get us out.

[She side eyes him]

You hesitated on security.

He uses a different type of security than what most people are used to. He's not going to be happy that someone outsmarted him. He's one of the best.

[Which is one reason why Alec wonders how he ended up here when he should have been safe behind Magnus' wards.]

They shouldn't have been able to get me when I was in his apartment.

[Alec doubts that if Magnus was here, he'd hide his abilities so there's no reason why he can't tell anyone.]

Magic.

[Darcy's eyes widen a little at the mention of magic. She's seen magic, of course! Well, Asgard magic. And Asgard magic that took people from one place to another. And Mew Mew. And that Destroyer. Immediately, he has her attention more now than ever]

What kind of magic?

[This could be bad, but at least she's not freaking out and calling him crazy. Although, he's not too sure of her reaction. Most Mundanes would deny that magic existed not ask him what kind.]

Healing, potions, spells... nothing illegal.

[Okay, the demon summoning wasn't exactly sanctioned but it'd been necessary. And Alec's not going to count spells that were done in the past against Magnus.]

His apartment is warded. No one should have been able to break through.

Wait, wait, you can heal people? Brew potions? That's totally classic, pointy hat stuff. You said illegal. Are there rules? Laws? Come on, dude, gotta give me the details.

I can't heal people. [Not exactly true but since he can only help heal three people in this place including himself, it's not exactly a lie either.] Or do magic. Magnus can.

[Suddenly, it hits him... Magnus is back home and Alec has no idea how long this captivity will last.]

And he's not here...

[His voice goes soft with those words before he mentally shakes off those thoughts and continues.]

Magnus is not a witch. He'd be offended if you called him that. There are Laws.

Do you have magic where you're from?

Yes. Kinda. Little hard to explain.

My boss is kind of dating a God so...

[She gives a shrug of her shoulders]

I haven't run into any Gods, just people who believed they should be made gods.

If she's dating a god, then a warlock shouldn't shock you.

Not really. But it's not like I run into them all the time. Outside of Thor and his friends, don't really get to meet a lot of magical people.

So what can you do?

[It was one thing to learn that myths were based on fact, but he hadn't really believed that the gods in those stories were real.]

Fight. I'm a warrior back home. I protect people from those who break the laws.

From space?

[That wasn't something that was in the mythology books.]

Kind of. Different organization but similar goals.

[To Alec the goals were similar although some Shadowhunters would disagree.]

What do you do that you come in contact with space gods?

Intern for an astrophysicist or two.

Is that how you meet gods?

If you know a god, couldn't he get us out of here?

Well. Kind of. We were looking for some kind of space anomaly. Then Thor kind of literally fell out of the sky. And it kind of snowballed from there.

[She frowns a little]

He's a little busy. But maybe.

It usually does...

[Okay, gods falling from the sky actually might be weird compared to the type of things that Alec normally deals with.]

It's something to hope for. Even if he doesn't, if he knows you're missing, it may cause people from your world to look into this.
