I'm really hoping it won't come to that, though. That activated charcoal thing is going to be messy, if it even works.

yeah, but you can't underestimate the people's need to get wasted over their sorrows and because of their ghosts

If you get really antsy, I was also thinking maybe we should have a barter system. You could offer skills for trade, maybe someone else got something useful in their suitcases.

well if you want a shelf, we're going to need to build it a structure so it can go on the wall. so i need wood and i need nails

I haven't seen any nails lying around, but I suppose we could pry up the ones in the floorboards.
