[The video feed starts with Darcy looking intently at the screen and reaching over to poke at the various functions on her newly acquired tablet. So far, she's met two people. One she hadn't seen in a while but the other was brand new. Her room is still dark and Darcy looks a little uncomfortable sitting in it.]

Okay, so someone told me about invisible maids, there's my suitcase with my stuff thrown in here, a shiny new tablet thing, and --

[She wields the ukelele in front of the camera]

Which pretty much leads me to the question:

[Alec rolls his eyes but his lips twitch with a faint smile.]

I already had the tattoos before I arrived here. The ones they gave me look like they're cartoon characters.

Did they give you the ukelele because you're a musician?

Only after a few tequila sunrises.

[She tries to get a better look at the tattoo]

Sounds like someone I know. He usually gets thrown out of bars when he decides he's a musician.

[Noticing her interest in the Mark on his neck, Alec considers pretending not to notice but it's probably better to show them off than be the 'scary tattooed guy'.]

It's easier to see the ones on my hands.

Haven't gotten that bad yet. Not that I remember about.

[Scary? Tattoos? Not in her vocabulary]

Llamas run in terror when he tries to play.

[Sadly, that isn't an exaggeration. Magnus' voice was fine, but his attempts with musical instruments are horrifying.

He really isn't the type to show off but he's also used to people being afraid of Shadowhunters. Lifting a hand, he turns it so that the black rune on back shows. The sleeve of his sweater slides down, showing another curving rune.]

Usually I cover them up but I don't have as many options here.

Llamas are terrible creatures. If he scares of alpacas, that's a different story.

[She eyes the tattoos through her screen]

Huh. Nice artwork.

[There's no fear in her face or her voice, just curiosity at the marks]

So you're a guest here too?

I didn't know llamas were so terrible.

[Pulling his sleeve down, he smiles nervously. 'Artwork' wasn't quite right but it was a good explanation.]

I just arrived. I haven't seen anyone who wasn't a guest.

[Her eyes narrow a little when she notices the nervousness in his smile but she won't call him on it. Not yet]

I just arrived too. Pretty much, I keep running into other guests.

Maybe there isn't anyone else here.

[Not exactly a reassuring thought and probably one he should have kept to himself.]

Someone already mentioned that whole invisible maids thing. So does that apply to people in charge, too?

The maids are invisible?

It's good to meet you but I wish it could have been in a better situation.

[She gives a shrug as a "but what can you do?"]

Seemed like we can't escape this place either. So what the hell are we supposed to do?

I don't believe there's no way out. There has to be. If we can't find a way out, there's people back home that will be searching for us.

[That has her stopping. Jane. Erik.]

Is there a way to talk to people back home?

[overprotective_hunter]

I don't know but I'm going to try to find out.

[If they could find a way to contact Magnus, maybe he'd be able to figure out what kind of magic did this and reverse it.]

Even if there isn't, people will start wondering where we are. Whoever did this didn't choose people who will be unnoticed if they go missing.

Right. They wouldn't.

[Jane would be noticed if she went missing. Darcy? Sometimes, she's not that sure she would be noticed. Jane would probably notice and kick up a storm]

[Alec knows it isn't going to be that easy but he refuses to give up hope. He's been in worst situations, but usually he's not the one kidnapped.]

We'll get out. It might take awhile, but we will.

[She grins, despite herself]

You seem so sure about that.

[overprotective_hunter]

My brother's here and he has a way of thinking of ways getting out of impossible situations.

[Despite the situation and his frustration, Alec returns the smile.]

And there's someone back home that isn't going to stand by and let this happen.

Yeah, Jane is probably building something right now to get me out of here.

Still.

[She's uneasy because they got Coulson here.]

Even if Jace wasn't here... Magnus is going to be offended that someone got through his -

[He almost says wards, then realizes that Darcy probably doesn't know about magic.]

- his security and kidnapped me. It'll give him another reason to find a way to get us out.

[She side eyes him]

You hesitated on security.

[overprotective_hunter]

He uses a different type of security than what most people are used to. He's not going to be happy that someone outsmarted him. He's one of the best.

[Which is one reason why Alec wonders how he ended up here when he should have been safe behind Magnus' wards.]

They shouldn't have been able to get me when I was in his apartment.
