backdated to June 3rd, 8:15AM. (VIDEO) TRIGGER WARNINGS, Death, murder, violence, etc
( it's not too long after the girl was found, but long enough. there's no clear evidence as to who did it, as far as Hook can tell, and granted he's probably not the best person to arm the masses... it's just that somebody has to. this is not the first death, apparently, yet it is the first murder (as far as he's aware). and they've all got enough to worry about here, there can't be murders on top of it.
it's rare that a pirate finds people so morally repugnant but once upon a time he left the navy because he found his king deplorable. if nobody else is going to do something, he will; no matter how uncharacteristic it seems, all things considered. )
I don't know who did this, but it was somebody in this hotel. I'm sure they thought they'd get away with it, but they won't. That little girl didn't deserve to die, to be some sick message.
( it doesn't matter that she might come back, not to him. he won't be able to rest, nor function, knowing there is someone roaming the halls willing to murder. it's impossible to say if it was a test, for fun, just for attention, to get a laugh out of the people trapped... it doesn't matter. whoever it was, why they did it, it isn't as important as finding them and making sure it doesn't happen twice. )
Somebody did this, and I say we find out who did it and make sure they can't do it again. Somebody had to have heard something, saw something. There's got to be answers here, and there's nobody but us to make sure this girl gets justice.
If she does come back, I want her to know she's safe from whoever did this to her.
If you heard something, then speak up. Privately, if you prefer, but say something. Or this can and will happen again. If we don't act, trust me, it will. If that's alarming, it bloody should be. Whoever this is won't stop unless we make them.
( he can't be the only one alarmed by this. that wants to do something. he's relying on people being willing to take his side, because he's going to need it to enforce any kind of justice in this place.
and it's more than just that, sadly. why is the pirate giving so many public service announcements? )
Try not to go anywhere alone. Stay with someone you trust, more than one someone if you can manage it. Keep both eyes open and lock your doors. If you feel threatened, be as loud as you can, there's too many of us here not to hear something. These sorts won't stop when they start, and the last thing we need is another test to see what will happen.
( ooc: keep an eye out, there will be a plotting post regarding this sometime tomorrow! )

Well no-one will admit anything and will be doubly careful now you've put that out there.

( look, he's not a fan of the staff either, it just doesn't seem their style. perhaps he's wrong. )

I've said from the beginning that this is like an arena. If you don't kill each other in the arena, the arena starts doing killing of it's own.
Can you think of a better way to stir people up and turn them against each other?

perhaps you're right, but I don't think so. it seems a message, not just to us but the staff as well, that they intend to take advantage of the fact that they can do as they please and not face consequences.
even if you are right, we'd be fools not to look into it.

I have a suspect. Italian-descent. Gruff-looking guy. Broad shoulders. Square chin. 5 o'clock shadow. About 6 feet tall.
He's one of the HYDRA agents Skye warned about but it got kind of lost among the dream broadcasts. Why do I think it's him? Because he murdered me the day he arrived. He's well-trained and dangerous.

And you didn't think to mention to the hotel there was a confirmed murderer roaming the halls?
( Hook shakes his head, because that's not the point right now. )
If it was him he needs to be isolated and kept from doing it twice.
no subject
That's the plan. He keeps slipping from our grasp but we'll get him.

We need a plan for how to proceed, preferably something most people can agree on.

these doors are close to unbreakable, apparently, I'd suggest room arrest.

If it's one of the people we've been warned about, they might have help.

( if we're just going to point fingers at all villains, then he's on the list, too. )
there's too many of us and what, three of them? we have the majority here.

I checked out her room. Nothing really there except her room key and some missing candy.
But I'm pretty sure no one killed her for some two month old candy, you know?
[But seriously who steals a dead girl's candy? That's just rude.]
no subject
( just insult to injury to steal from a dead girl. )
Nothing else, footprints or the like?
no subject
I wish. No, there wasn't anything there. I mean, it looked like her stuff had been searched through, which is I guess how whoever it was found her candy, but there wasn't anything else in her room.
