backdated to June 3rd, 8:15AM. (VIDEO) TRIGGER WARNINGS, Death, murder, violence, etc
( it's not too long after the girl was found, but long enough. there's no clear evidence as to who did it, as far as Hook can tell, and granted he's probably not the best person to arm the masses... it's just that somebody has to. this is not the first death, apparently, yet it is the first murder (as far as he's aware). and they've all got enough to worry about here, there can't be murders on top of it.
it's rare that a pirate finds people so morally repugnant but once upon a time he left the navy because he found his king deplorable. if nobody else is going to do something, he will; no matter how uncharacteristic it seems, all things considered. )
I don't know who did this, but it was somebody in this hotel. I'm sure they thought they'd get away with it, but they won't. That little girl didn't deserve to die, to be some sick message.
( it doesn't matter that she might come back, not to him. he won't be able to rest, nor function, knowing there is someone roaming the halls willing to murder. it's impossible to say if it was a test, for fun, just for attention, to get a laugh out of the people trapped... it doesn't matter. whoever it was, why they did it, it isn't as important as finding them and making sure it doesn't happen twice. )
Somebody did this, and I say we find out who did it and make sure they can't do it again. Somebody had to have heard something, saw something. There's got to be answers here, and there's nobody but us to make sure this girl gets justice.
If she does come back, I want her to know she's safe from whoever did this to her.
If you heard something, then speak up. Privately, if you prefer, but say something. Or this can and will happen again. If we don't act, trust me, it will. If that's alarming, it bloody should be. Whoever this is won't stop unless we make them.
( he can't be the only one alarmed by this. that wants to do something. he's relying on people being willing to take his side, because he's going to need it to enforce any kind of justice in this place.
and it's more than just that, sadly. why is the pirate giving so many public service announcements? )
Try not to go anywhere alone. Stay with someone you trust, more than one someone if you can manage it. Keep both eyes open and lock your doors. If you feel threatened, be as loud as you can, there's too many of us here not to hear something. These sorts won't stop when they start, and the last thing we need is another test to see what will happen.
( ooc: keep an eye out, there will be a plotting post regarding this sometime tomorrow! )

I've no idea. the body disappearing reeks of the hotel, but I don't know that the death does.
no subject
Maybe they want people to get creative. It's not fun to watch if it's too easy.
no subject
( your world is just the worst, Cashmere, sorry )
no subject
I haven't figured that part out yet but the Capitol enjoys it.
[ it really is the worst, right up there with disappearing bodies.. ]
no subject
( it happened in Neverland, so it really isn't a shock. he's just still disappointed, somehow. )
no subject
Be careful. Whoever it is won't like you snooping around.
no subject
then again they're bloody foolish to murder in a full hotel, so I suppose we're looking at someone who isn't terribly concerned about consequences.
no subject
Exactly. They're not going to be afraid of you.
no subject
they're not afraid of me but I'm not afraid of them, either. I won't rest until this is resolved.
no subject
All right. You know where to find me if you need me.
[ womp womp ]
no subject
hey cash, wanna take a look around with me?
no subject
Do I want to track down a murderer? No. But I'll go with you anyway.
no subject
[ well, you know. ]
Thanks. I appreciate it. Where can I meet you?
no subject
no subject
Okay. I'll meet you there.
action;
So what's your theory?
Re: action;
[ He shows up not a minute later, sauntering in with his hands in his pockets, as per the usual. ]
I...dunno. Murder, obviously...but I dunno who. Or why.
[ he needs to start paying more attention. ]
no subject
That's where I am. You wanna start with the dining room? Since... it's where she was.
no subject
Yeah, uh -- that seems like as good a place as any to start.
[ a gesture-- ]
Shall we?
no subject
You really know how to show a girl a good time.
[ she winks, and heads off for the dining room. the lobby looks the same. she'd expect something - signs of struggle, blood maybe? ]
I can't believe no one heard anything. You didn't hear anything, right?
no subject
What, so is this a date?
[ It's probably the worst idea ever, but whatever. ]
Nah. Not a thing. You either?
no subject
[ Cashmere shakes her head. ] I'm not a heavy sleeper so there must not have been much noise. Which is why I thought it was the hotel. Murder's loud.
no subject
Yeah, breakfast would be better. Let's do that sometime.
[ Raleigh frowns and scratches at his jaw. ]
I'm not a heavy sleeper either. [ If he even sleeps at all. ] Maybe you're right and it is the hotel.
no subject
[ the dining room looks to be about the same as usual, but the quiet is a little eerier than normal. ] The body has to... go somewhere, doesn't it? It can't just have disappeared.
