well, i've been working on the thermostats problem for a day now and the bad news is: it's not heating, and the worse news is: it doesn't act like anything that's broken
and before anyone thinks of calling it 'magic' -- don't. it hasn't been long enough for me to stop being cynical
also, it's cold and i'm not in the mood

okay
pretend we're all sitting in a hotel, who knows where, freezing our asses off, and the people here with us -- they come from different worlds, different versions of earth, places with magic and places with tech and so on.
so, where i come from. nuclear war on earth turns earth uninhabitable, countries that can handle it launch into space. war happens in space now. then there's unity. that's the ark. then the ark starts failing, too many people and too little oxygen. a long story happens in the middle. the ark floats empty in space, survivors are now on earth, which is okay to live on. as far as air and pollution goes, anyway.

Wait. Are you from the same place as Clarke?

i was also on her list of people
but don't worry, we've found each other

Well I'm relieved but I kinda guessed that. Small hotel.
I was more thinking that it doesn't seem like anyone came in all lone survivor from there world. Most of us have someone else we know. In my experience, total coincidence is always SUPER important.

you have someone from your world here?

Don't get me wrong. I'm all about it: collaboration, freedom of information. You're playing my song here. Just.
You've done a pretty good job with the rallying.
