[ the feed comes on, revealing a very chilly Cashmere. Her nose is looking a little red, and she's trying very hard to act like the cold doesn't bother her. despite the smile plastered on her face, she's betrayed by her shivering and occasional sniffling. Cashmere is reluctantly wearing the cashmere (ha ha) sweater from her suitcase, though she's dropped her blanket cocoon for the purpose of this video. She's incredibly at-ease in front of a camera, and it shows. ]

Please tell me that someone has hot water. I'm willing to make a deal. [ she winks. take that as you will. ]

Also - has someone been in my room? I've left it a little disorganized [ trashed, whatever ] a few times and whenever I come back, everything's been put away. I wish I could say I appreciate it, but... [ it's freaking her out and she's trying to be nice by not telling the offender that she would rather smack herself than thank them. ] Maybe you can bring me another blanket if you're going to be stopping by?

[Unlike everyone else, it seems, Tauriel doesn't appear affected at all by the cold. The only different thing about her appearance is her hair; where once it was hanging down to her waist in long, red-gold strands, now it is cropped close to her skull, curling about her ears. To anyone who had seen her before, it's shocking.

To anyone else, she appears completely oblivious to the drop in temperature.] If you require extra blankets, you may have mine.

[ Tauriel is a new face to Cashmere, and she brightens a bit at her offer. ] Really? You don't need the blankets? [ because it is super cold. though Tauriel looks like she's completely unaware of the temperature drop. ] What do you want in exchange?

[For a moment, Tauriel just blinks down at the mirror — tablet, that's what it's called, a tablet — in her hands, nonplussed at the question posed to her.]

I do not require anything at the moment. [Can't she just offer the girl her blanket without any ulterior motive?]

Okay. [ Cashmere's of the belief that most people have ulterior motives. but she really wants the blanket. so. she'll figure it out later. ] Thank you. That's nice of you.

[It's clear, even though the tablet, that the girl does not quite believe her, but Tauriel does not press the issue.] You are welcome.

Where is your room? I will bring it by shortly.

I'm in 103. [ look at Cashmere, being nice and making friends. Peeta will be so proud! ] And really, if you think of anything you want, let me know.

You will be the first I tell. [There, see, they can both grow as people; Tauriel may have just cracked something that resembles a joke. There's even a hint of a smile around her mouth, but it fades quickly, and she's back to looking serious as she nods before abruptly cutting the video feed.

Not ten minutes later, there is a knock at Cashmere's door, Tauriel standing at attention on the other side of her door with a blanket folded nearly in her arms.]

[ officially giving up on pretending she's not cold, Cashmere opens the door wrapped in the blanket she yanked off her own bed. it's an improvement but not by much. ]

Hi. Do you want to come in? [ not that her room is anything special. her bed's unmade since she's been huddled in it most of the day and yesterdays clothes are on the floor. but it seems polite to offer. ]

[The first thing Tauriel had been about to do was to hold out her blanket for the girl to take, but it seems as if she has that well in hand, judging by the way she's all but swaddled up in the blanket from her bed when she comes to answer the door.

Tauriel cannot help arching her eyebrow slightly, surprised by the question, but she inclines her head slightly nonetheless.] Thank you. [She doubts she will stay long. But even so, the offer was genuine, and it would be rude to refuse.]

[ she moves to let the other woman in, returning to her seat on the bed. ] How are you not cold? It's freezing. [ you wouldn't know it by looking at Tauriel. weird. ]
