Since the hotel is intent on violating our privacy, I might as well get out ahead of the inevitable.
Kingsman Tailors, where Eggsy and Merlin are employed and from which I am retired, was established in 1849 as a clothier to royalty and aristocracy. In 1919 it also became the civilian cover for an international intelligence organisation, privately funded with an open remit and hence unaffiliated with any government or government-backed agency.
I would agree with any remarks that we're no longer in an environment where maintaining discretion on these matters is necessary or even desirable. Pooling our talents has, decidedly, taken priority over secrecy.
I can only apologise and say that the habits of thirty years in the job make certain behaviours reflexive.
