[Someone is bored. And when someone is bored they do stupid things, and this would probably be classed as one of them. Besides, Gabriel's starting to get curious to see how people react to things.]

So like, I did something like this to someone once. For almost four months. It was pretty hilarious if you ask me. Groundhog day was a great movie, so I was feeling inspired. Pull the strings and see how they reacted. [There's zero shame, sorry Sam.]

Anyhoo. When I was doing that to my unwitting victim who shall remain nameless, stuck in my tangled web of illusion, I made sure to keep a close eye on them by disguising myself and watching. Simple right? So these staff apparently never show up but see everything anyway. Which means that they're probably one of us. I mean that's the only thing that makes sense. Pretend to be a hostage, fit in with the crowd and so on. Classic textbook.

So. Start making your excuses, I'm interested to hear 'em.

Oh before I forget. Has anyone here actually died? Not counting the captain who was dumb enough to keep coming back.

You might not know they're watching if they're using magic. It was probably magic that brought us here so why not use it to keep an eye on us?

Channeling the wrong background image?

[That was probably some Mundane reference that Magnus hadn't taught him since it definitely didn't sound like anything his boyfriend had talked about while 'talking shop' with Alec.]

Magic leaves traces but is there anyone here powerful enough to track them? Everyone here with magic of some type has had their powers deadened. If they took us to a dimension different than the ones we're from, it'll be harder for anyone back home to use those traces to find us.

You wouldn't need a door. Build a hotel with no exits. Make it so that magic is the only way in and out. Then you have everyone in a prison that can't be easily escaped and no worries that we'll suddenly see something that shouldn't be there. A friend of mine was trapped in a similar place a few months ago.

Mine was an example too. Magic doesn't backfire that easily where I'm from. Either setup is possible. But magic has to be part of this or we wouldn't be here. How else would they kidnap people from other realities and throw them here?

Would that type of technology be able to get past warding spells? [It might be possible but the idea of mixing the two really doesn't happen in his world that often.]

I'm really hoping your wrong about that. My friends can track magic but technology would make it more difficult.
