( he's a very serious, very scary, evil handed pirate, all right, and don't you dare forget it, but there are a few things that can unsettle even a pirate.
his heart may be black but it's still bloody there, and little wailing lasses that run from him the second he tries to get close stings, a little. does he really look so dastardly? or maybe she's just afraid. . .
either way you slice it, he's incredibly unnerved and at least a little bit concerned. )
Has anyone seen that wee girl? I tried to speak to her but the second I got close she ran off towards the stairs.
( he's looked for awhile. he's not even sure how she could move so damn fast, and suddenly be so silent. he could have sworn. . . )
She's got to be around somewhere. A tiny little thing, seemed upset. I can't be the only one that saw her.

Yes, she does rather have a habit of that. [pause] She isn't entirely there.
It could be that she's aware of her surroundings; she does seem to know when someone means to approach. But I believe we should consider the possibility she isn't even capable of interacting with us.
[Isn't there a theory somewhere that ghosts simply repeat particular moments, like they're caught in a loop? She won't say that's what this is, but the girl does seem to follow a certain pattern.]
video;
To me it seems too soon to make that kind of assumption, though many have come to the same conclusion.
video;
[She has the good grace to not look offended. She could have chosen her words better. But please, do give her some credit.]
She's...somewhat transparent.
[Having clarified her point, she gives a slight nod.]
But I understand, truly, and I respect your determination. You're very firm in your beliefs.
[She knows a little something about that, herself, and she means it as a compliment. It speaks well of him that he's so stubbornly determined to do what he feels is right. At least she thinks so.]
video;
Right, well, determination is something I've always had in spades.
( too much some people might argue, yet he's never managed to get any less of it. )
video;
[Being abducted and held in a prison with seemingly no exit. They'll all be in trouble without a little determination.]
You're going to look for her?
video;
( all the people who have given up already drive the pirate mad, actually. there's got to be a way, if they all give up they'll never find it. )
Aye. See if I can find her, transparent or no.
video;
If you'd like help, you'll let me know?
[She may think it's a pointless endeavor, but if he's determined? Well it's only polite to offer.]
video;
( but he figures if she thinks the girl isn't all there, she probably won't bother. )
video;
[He isn't entirely wrong. She doesn't exactly plan to go out of her way to search for the girl. But at the very least, she may not ignore her completely the next time she catches sight of her. If he's so determined, what can it hurt to try and prove one of their theories correct?]
