( he's a very serious, very scary, evil handed pirate, all right, and don't you dare forget it, but there are a few things that can unsettle even a pirate.
his heart may be black but it's still bloody there, and little wailing lasses that run from him the second he tries to get close stings, a little. does he really look so dastardly? or maybe she's just afraid. . .
either way you slice it, he's incredibly unnerved and at least a little bit concerned. )
Has anyone seen that wee girl? I tried to speak to her but the second I got close she ran off towards the stairs.
( he's looked for awhile. he's not even sure how she could move so damn fast, and suddenly be so silent. he could have sworn. . . )
She's got to be around somewhere. A tiny little thing, seemed upset. I can't be the only one that saw her.

I saw her. I've seen her twice. It's like she...vanishes into thin air.

[He hadn't seen her yet, but he's pretty sure he's seen things out of the corner of his eye. Maybe that was it?]
It's one thing trapping us all here, but a kid?
[Ressler's tone is full of disgust.]

All the same. Time to make nice and think of a good cover story. Which means ...being social.]
That's certainly ominous.

[Imaging that there are children around because she misses her kid isn't that much of a stretch, is it?]
. . . Maybe she's a part of this.

( But then he'd tried offering her pastry, and telling a story, and that hadn't worked, either. Björn is a big guy, but this has unnerved him, too. )
She likes the big room called the lobby, so far as I've seen. I'd like to know where her parents are.
( Because while there's a possiblity that she's a spirit, it's not one he immediately wants to jump to. Spirits don't belong in Midgard. )

[ It didn't help that he didn't actually try to talk to her. He thought about it, but by the time he made up his mind, she had already run off. ]
Maybe we should try to find her family? Or...I don't know. Something like that.

[ Thea has since but her room back together after wrecking it that first night, and she's laying on her stomach on her made bed, her tablet propped up against against her pillows. Her elbow rests on the bed and her chin on her hand, her eyebrows arched thoughtfully. ]
Maybe the hotel's haunted.

[ He shrugs. ]
I'm not so sure you're gonna be able to catch her. Someone chased her up to the stairs when I was comin' down, and-
[ His brow wrinkles a little, lips turning down, something almost sympathetic in his expression. ]
You can see through her. She's not all there, she's- I don't think she's alive.
