his heart may be black but it's still bloody there, and little wailing lasses that run from him the second he tries to get close stings, a little. does he really look so dastardly? or maybe she's just afraid. . .

Has anyone seen that wee girl? I tried to speak to her but the second I got close she ran off towards the stairs.

( he's looked for awhile. he's not even sure how she could move so damn fast, and suddenly be so silent. he could have sworn. . . )

She's got to be around somewhere. A tiny little thing, seemed upset. I can't be the only one that saw her.

Not looking won't get us any where either. Someone will find her and eventually get her before she runs off again. Just needs to be someone who's not going to hurt her.

It'd be hard to get away with such things in such a tight space. ( that's not exactly positivity, he knows better than anyone how cruel people can be to children with nobody to protect them. . .
