( he's a very serious, very scary, evil handed pirate, all right, and don't you dare forget it, but there are a few things that can unsettle even a pirate.
his heart may be black but it's still bloody there, and little wailing lasses that run from him the second he tries to get close stings, a little. does he really look so dastardly? or maybe she's just afraid. . .
either way you slice it, he's incredibly unnerved and at least a little bit concerned. )
Has anyone seen that wee girl? I tried to speak to her but the second I got close she ran off towards the stairs.
( he's looked for awhile. he's not even sure how she could move so damn fast, and suddenly be so silent. he could have sworn. . . )
She's got to be around somewhere. A tiny little thing, seemed upset. I can't be the only one that saw her.

Twice? Shouldn't we search for her, then? She's too little to be off on her own.
( maybe someone that isn't a frigtening pirate should try talking to her. just a thought. )

[Regina gesticulates 'poof' and then sighs a little.]
But yes. Someone should try to find her. Are you suggesting a search party?

She seems quite distressed but we still ought to find her. ( because children shouldn't be left on their own. unless they demand to be released from your custody clearly. he should not be pressing this vein. )
Aye, why not? It's not that big a place, even with two new floors.

he's dressed, though. he didn't come with pajamas, because he doesn't own any.
he tosses the device at his bed before he joins her. )
I saw her just ten minutes ago. Surely she's upstairs somewhere.
( but the word is she's only seen in the lobby, so now he's wondering if they ought to start there. )
Re: Action
Who knows how many places she could hide here. If she's familiar with the layout of this place, she has an advantage on us because...hell if I know every nook and cranny.
[Her arms drop and for a moment she opens her mouth to speak, then closes it before looking at Hook again.]
Have we entertained all possibilities, here? Maybe she's not real.
[She's having flashbacks now, of seances in her study at home in Storybrooke.]
Re: Action
he sighs, rubbing at his face, an odd sense of defeat in his posture. he's a stubborn man, but the constant buzzing that it's a foolish endeavor is wearing on him. )
Maybe she is, but isn't it worth looking all the same? Bloody hell, she might be a little frightened girl, and people are arguing that she's a ghost instead of trying to find her.
( the frustration isn't necessarily at Regina, just in general. )
Re: Action
[Regina does raise an eyebrow though and turns to head down the hall.]
Who knew a pirate had a soft spot for frightened little girls.
Re: Action
( it's a not-quite-inquiry as to what the hell a scary movie is supposed to be, because everyone was discussing it and he has no clue. )
I'm used to people not bothering to care about children that aren't theirs, shall we say. It's always a trying reminder.
( he does open the door to the stairwell for the pajama-clad queen, he's got some manners in him somewhere. . . )
Fine, should we try the lobby, then. That's where everyone sees her first.
Re: Action
[She heads down into the stairwell, agreeing with his assessment of the lobby.]
Still, anything that disappears and reappears isn't typically a sign of anything good.
Re: Action
( Hook has met the most terrifying child of all, but he's really more of a teenager than a child, and in the end he was a full grown man in a child's body, which is just. . . creepy. in general, he doesn't see how children are creepy, though.
he follows after her, offering a reluctant, )
If she is a ghost, should we not exercise her like you did with. . .
( does he get points for not going into what happened at Regina's seance? )
Re: Action
[She takes a breath and lets it out, trying not to be tense with him. It isn't him, it's this place. Right?]
If she's a ghost we...tell her to move on into the white light or something.
Re: Action
( he just heard it through the Charming grapevine, he hadn't witnessed the exorcism. he's really never dealt with ghosts before, don't you have to help them resolve what keeps them from moving on? ),/small>
She's crying, troubled by something. Perhaps it's a matter of solving why she's upset and then she'll go to the. . . ( heavens? something? he doesn't bloody know. )
Re: Action
[Yeah, it's grim, but. Regina's not feeling that optimistic about things.]
Sorry. My mother's ghost didn't leave me with a lot of confidence in the art of ghost busting.

( he says it with an open tone, like he might be talking just as much to himself. he's taking all this awfully seriously; the little ghost girl has hit him harder than he likes to admit.
it's just the second bit that breaks him out of it. )
If she's a ghost, I doubt you can . . . bust her.
( so not what she meant, pirate. )
